What are Koo’s trading fees?

Koo applies a 0.02% taker fee rate, with a minimum taker fee of 0.05 USDC per order. Qualifying maker fills receive a 0.005% rebate, equivalent to a -0.005% maker fee. A limit order is not automatically a maker order.

Key Information

  • Taker: 0.02%, minimum 0.05 USDC per order
  • Maker: -0.005% (0.005% rebate)
  • Funding is a separate payment between long and short positions

Maker and taker

Taker fills remove liquidity by executing against an existing order.

Maker fills add liquidity by resting on the order book before execution.

A market order is a taker. A limit order that crosses the book is also a taker.

Formula

  • The percentage-based taker fee is 0.02% of filled notional, with a minimum of 0.05 USDC per order. For multiple partial fills of the same order, the minimum applies to the order total, not separately to each fill. Qualifying maker rebate = maker-filled notional × 0.005%.
  • Examples: a taker order with 10,000 USDC of filled notional costs 2 USDC. A taker order with 100 USDC of filled notional costs the 0.05 USDC minimum, rather than 0.02 USDC. A qualifying 10,000 USDC maker fill earns a 0.5 USDC rebate.

What is not included

Funding is not a platform trading fee and can be paid or received.

Gas may be required for onchain deposit or withdrawal actions, not for every offchain order.
